Partner Programme

As an Stranslations partner you can earn some income or cut your costs. Choose between the Client Programme, the Affiliate Programme and the Reseller Programme.

    Client Programme
    Our client programme is tailored to the particular circumstances of each individual client. We do, however, offer:
  • 5% off your first order for all customers with a valid coupon (your coupon is y).
  • Volume reductions for large projects
  • Reductions for material that is similar to previous projects we've done for you
  • In the same way as we charge more for urgent translations, we may also be able to offer substantial reductions for long deadlines on non-urgent work. We are generally able to offer such reductions on French to English, Spanish to English and English to Spanish translations.

    Programme overview
    Stranslations pays you 10% commission on all orders generated from your website as well as repeat orders from these clients for 12 months from initial contact. We provide regular email reports of orders placed. Payment is monthly upon full settlement by the client. Unlike with retail purchases where the customer typically pays with their credit card at the point of purchase, business services such as translations are typically paid for within 30 or 60 days depending on the credit terms agreed between the parties. Once we're paid then you'll be paid.

    Unlike some other programs, we don't require you to use our logos or banners and give you complete freedom in how you market our services. We only ask that you don’t make any exaggerated or false claims. You may decide, for example, to market all our services or depending on your website’s content to promote a specific service (e.g. Translator Recruitment) or a particular language combination (e.g. French to English translation).

    All links from your site must contain the affiliate ID (e.g. o=2911) we give you. When the visitor then clicks through from your site we create a cookie using that affiliate ID. This cookie is set to expire after 1 year. This means that (assuming the cookie isn't deleted from the computer) we will be able to identify any enquiry made through the website by that visitor. Should the customer decide not to contact us through the website but instead to email or phone us then any orders placed will only be eligible for commission if the customer provides us with your affiliate ID. The affiliate ID is displayed prominently on the website (labelled Coupon) and customers providing it are offered a 5% reduction on their first order. Once they have been identified as coming from your website, you are eligible for commission on any orders subsequently placed by them during that year regardless how the orders are placed (email, phone...). We feel this system is fairest to you as in the translation world it sometimes takes a long time to convert browsers to buyers. Buying a translation is not like buying a CD. Most translations are purchased by companies and they generally take their time to ensure that they identify the best provider for their needs. Conversion rates are typically low and heavily depend on how carefully the target audience has been profiled.

    We handle all quoting, customer service and billing so all you have to do is market our services in a convincing manner.

    Stranslations is always looking to add to its sales network. If you or your agency has proven expertise in selling value-added business services then please consider representing Stranslations.

    Stranslations pays 10% commission on all orders generated by its partners. In practice, and so long as mutually agreed, we take over day-to-day management of the client relationship (quoting, customer service, billing), thereby freeing you up to focus on new sales. We will, however, continue to pay you commission on all repeat orders from these clients until such time as the Sales Agency Agreement is terminated. Payment is monthly upon full settlement by the client. Unlike with retail purchases where the customer typically pays with their credit card at the point of purchase, business services such as translations are typically paid for within 30 or 60 days depending on the credit terms agreed between the parties. Once we're paid then you'll be paid.

    To apply for the Referral Programme we would ask you to send us (roger@stranslations.com) a letter of introduction outlining why you would like to represent us and what you feel you offer, particularly regarding your experience of selling business services to corporate clients.

    The first key thing is thus for the letter to be well structured and professional sounding. If it isn't, we will, regrettably, reject the application immediately.

    If your native tongue is French, German or Spanish and you would feel more comfortable presenting yourself in that language please feel free to do so. A working knowledge of English is, however, required.

    Should we accept your application will send you our standard commission agent contract for review.

    Affiliate Programme
    The Affiliate Programme is subject to these Terms and Conditions (PDF).

    Highlights:
  • 10% on all sales placed by visitors clicking through from your site for a period of 12 months
  • To qualify for commission the visitors must first contact us through the website Enquiry Form
  • Should they choose to first contact us by email or phone then no commission shall be payable unless they provide us with your affiliate ID (which is displayed prominently at the top right corner of every page).
  • You may write any material you like promoting the service so long as it is fair and accurate
  • We may, however, ask you to remove any material we feel isn't accurate
  • The relationship is subject to English law

    Referral Programme
    We ask all our Sales Agents to sign a Sales Agency Agreement. Once we have accepted your initial proposal we will send you a version for perusal and signature. We feel the contract is very fair on both parties but should you have any concerns we will certainly be willing to look at the language of particular sections.
